Memory

It starts with memory for Axiom. Axiom memory has been a mainstay in data center infrastructures across North America for over 25 years, enabling data centers to facilitate key operations with greater efficiency. As we continue to expand our core offerings, nothing changes with our commitment to providing high-quality and cost-effective memory that is fully tested and ready for integration into any system. 

OEM alternative memory

Headlining our diverse memory lineup is our OEM alternative memory lineup. Axiom OEM alternative memory performs at OEM standards (or better) without the OEM upcharge. Tested under rigorous workloads, our OEM alternative memory can be seamlessly integrated into system-specific configurations. By simply adding “AX” in front of the OEM part number, users can find the exact memory module for their system.

UCS support

With how closely integrated some converged platforms such as Cisco UCS can be, UCS systems may issue “warning codes” when third party memory is installed. These “error codes” are generally nominal as third-party modules will still work normally and the warnings can be disabled, but we understand that customers may prefer an OEM approved module to avoid this potential inconvenience. 

As such, Axiom carries a line of UCS approved memory modules that are part of Cisco’s Approved Vendor List (AVL) and matches all the specifications of a UCS memory module, everything from the EEPROM down to the SPD (Serial Presence Detect) coding. For peace of mind for the user, Axiom UCS memory is plug-and-play with zero FRU error codes.

Transceivers

In a data center infrastructure, transceivers serve as the focal point of network connectivity. Transceivers operate in tandem with network cables to transmit and receive data between different points in a network. Axiom optical and copper transceivers are MSA compliant and can be coded for seamless integration into any data center infrastructure, to facilitate data transmission in networks.

Portfolio breadth

Axiom features an ever-expanding lineup of transceivers in a multitude of specifications, engineered for deployment in any type of network. With different form factors, interfaces, data rates, to light modes, reach distances, and more, Axiom transceivers offer unprecedented scalability for data center connectivity architectures. 

From 1G-10G SFP/SFP+ transceivers for small/medium sized enterprise applications to 400G OSFP or 800G QSFP solutions to power Artificial Intelligence Base pods for generative AI clusters/HPC workloads and edge data centers, Axiom has solutions for any application, at any scale. Axiom also offers multi-coded solutions to help reduce excess inventory and total cost of ownership as well as energy-efficient transceivers utilizing silicon photonics.

Advanced modulation schemes

As data rate requirements continue to increase, the cost per bit ratio becomes even more important. Axiom transceivers incorporate advanced modulation schemes such as PAM4 or coherent modulation, to increase the bits per signal and network rates, ensuring that service providers can build high-bandwidth, ultra-broadband networks with greater cost efficiency. 

Tested for reliability

Other non-OEM transceivers may offer marginally lower pricing, but it comes at the expense of performance and reliability. There are no shortcuts to quality and the best way to ensure up-time is rigorous in-environment testing. Axiom stress tests each and every transceiver under different types of workloads and settings. This commitment is reflected in the results as the observed failure rate for Axiom transceivers is less than 0.01%, which is a significant upgrade in reliability compared to the 1% failure rates of those lower priced non-OEM transceivers.

Network Cables

Cables serve as a medium for transceivers to move data between interconnects. As every data center infrastructure is unique, the cable layout and topologies differ substantially from one data center to another. The full catalog of Axiom cables presents customers with a wide variety of options with the ability to customize to the exact desired specifications. Customizability

Axiom offers a wide variety of customizable options/alterations for different applications and a large selection of lengths (both standard + custom) that are adjustable for all types of deployments. Axiom has spent the greater half of this decade putting together a logistics system that allows us to deliver network cables where you need them, when you need them. Data integrity protection

Select Axiom enterprise storage drives are protected with built-in AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption that utilizes algorithms to generate a DEK (data encryption key) and convert data into cipher text. Axiom storage solutions also feature built-in advanced ECC algorithms that help lower the UBER (Uncorrected Bit Error Rate) in drives and protect data integrity in networks. Switches

Axiom brings its extensive experience in the data center and connectivity industry to its lineup of switches. Axiom Cloud Data Center switches control network traffic by connecting devices in a network and enabling them to communicate with each other. Axiom offers 1G/10G/25G/100G Axiom switches available in compact 1RU form factors, with a diverse variety of port configurations and support for telemetry. Axiom Cloud Data Center switches are engineered with high-throughput Trident switch silicon, making them particularly suitable to handle high-performance data center switching for key data center applications.

Axiom services

Given the complexity of modern data centers infrastructures and the costs of high-end hardware equipment, maintenance and technical support are a must for proper data center upkeep. Unfortunately, this market is still underdeveloped as the focus of hardware providers is shaded towards producing newer hardware, while maintenance providers can only handle the service aspect.

Axiom fills this void with its Axiom Maintenance Services and Axiom Pro Services. It produces data center hardware with sustained performance and high durability, but also provides the warranty protections and technical services that are needed to address data center issues.

Axiom Maintenance Services

Axiom Maintenance Services (AMS) extends the product life cycle by providing warranties and/or support past the EOL and EOSL stages in the product life cycle. AMS can help counter the planned obsolescence cycles that many OEM manufacturers may impose on, enabling customers to upgrade their infrastructures based off their own discretion. Customers can manage their IT spending better without forcing unnecessary upgrades. 

AMS offers flexible service levels and even a customizable option, so that businesses can manage their data centers better without relying solely on managed service providers. AMS also offers IT asset disposition, so that businesses can carry out proper data sanitization and decommission network equipment to ensure greater sustainability.

Axiom Pro Services offers L1/L2/L3 tech support to take some of the heavy data center management tasks off one's hand to help improve efficiency. Axiom Pro Services provides IT technical guidance and support to address some of the more common issues for data centers, while also honing its focus on addressing some of the more niche or application-specific issues that businesses may encounter when building or maintaining IT infrastructures or digital ecosystems.
