Axiom Announces AXCloudCoder™ – The World’s First Cloud-Native Transceiver Coding and Validation Platform

Austin, TX — November 3, 2025 - Axiom The OEM Alternative®, a leader in network connectivity, memory, and storage solutions, today announced the upcoming global release of AXCloudCoder™, its patent-pending cloud-native transceiver coding and validation platform. Originally developed within Axiom Labs for internal engineering and validation, the breakthrough system will now be introduced globally for data-center, enterprise, and telecom environments in Q2 2026.

AXCloudCoder™ revolutionizes the way optical and copper transceivers are coded, tested, and managed. By combining WhiteBox switch architecture with cloud-based orchestration, Axiom enables network engineers to automate and scale transceiver programming with unprecedented control, speed, and visibility.

“AXCloudCoder represents the next major leap forward in network programmability,” said Keith Carpenter, CEO of Axiom. “It bridges physical optics and cloud automation — a true foundation for AI-ready, software-defined infrastructure.” ending on the WhiteBox network switches. This adaptability ensures compatibility with diverse deployment scenarios—from edge computing to hyperscale environments.

Cloud-Native Stack for Automated Coding and Validation

The new stack leverages a fully cloud-based management interface, enabling seamless orchestration across multiple instances. The decentralized control empowers network engineers to configure (code) and optimize DAC, ACC, AEC, AOC, and optical transceivers at scale with real-time visibility and automation. The platform integrates directly with Axiom’s cloud based management interface, providing coding automation and multi-vendor compatibility. Users can code optics remotely and push firmware or EEPROM updates through a single unified interface.

At the heart of the solution is Axiom AXCloudCoder’s innovative transceiver programming capability. Built on a high-performance WhiteBox network switch architecture, the system acts as a dedicated coding and validation device. Depending on the underlying switch hardware, Axiom transceivers can be dynamically coded to support different OEM compatibilities. Speeds ranging from 1 G to 1.6 T, across a variety of form factors, can be programmed depending on the WhiteBox platform. This adaptability ensures compatibility with diverse deployment scenarios - from edge computing to hyperscale environments.

Once coded, transceivers undergo rigorous testing using industry-standard diagnostics including Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) and Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) based on PRBS patterns. All results are recorded and accessible through the cloud interface, providing operators with actionable insights and performance assurance.

Purpose-Built for Scalability and Integration

AXCloudCoder™ supports multi-instance orchestration, role-based access control (RBAC), and TLS-encrypted communication, allowing multiple engineering teams to collaborate across global data centers. It integrates seamlessly with Axiom’s ecosystem of optics, DACs, AOCs, and memory components, extending the company’s OEM-Alternative advantage into cloud-managed infrastructure.

Availability and Industry Preview

AXCloudCoder™ will make its public debut at Super Computing 25 (SC25) The International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis in St. Louis, Missouri, from November 16–21, 2025. Global availability begins Q2 2026.

Editor’s Note

Originally developed for Axiom’s U.S.-based validation labs, AXCloudCoder™ served as a proprietary engineering tool used to test and certify high-speed optical components across OEM platforms. Following its success inside the company, Axiom is now making the technology available to the broader market — marking the first time an OEM-Alternative vendor has opened its in-house coding and validation infrastructure to external customers.
