The Axiom T500 Enterprise is the ideal hot-swap SSD solution to meet the needs of the data center, big data, cloud, and HPC applications
Irvine, CA – February 12, 2014. Axiom, a leading provider of storage, networking connectivity solutions, memory products, laptop batteries, and mobile accessories announces the release of the Axiom T500 Enterprise SSD storage solution. Designed to support a wide range of mixed workload applications, the T500 Enterprise is available in capacities up to 800GB and delivers the reliability and durability demanded in high performance environments.
The T500 is a 2.5-inch hot-swap enabled storage solution designed for IBM, HP, Dell, and Lenovo designated applications utilizing the Intel® 25nm NAND Flash and controller for best-in-class reliability. Supporting ten Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) for five years, the T500 Enterprise with High Endurance Technology (HET) Multi-Level Cell (MLC) flash is optimized for mission-critical servers and storage arrays. The T500 Enterprise is available in 100, 200, 400, and 800GB high-speed capacities with up to 70,000 read IOPS and 32,000 write IOPS. The sustained 500MB/s read and 365MB/s write speeds further showcase each capacities performance consistency.
"The T500 Enterprise gives organizations a cost-effective storage solution while allowing them to add significantly faster storage as their business needs increase, “ said Tom Hurley, Director of Field Sales at Axiom. “We see a growing demand for high-performance storage and the T500 Enterprise enables organizations to efficiently scale their IT storage while using their existing computing infrastructure."
"This new SSD complements our enterprise storage line by incorporating Intel’s High Endurance Technology (HET) to deliver SLC-line endurance in a more cost-effective MLC solution, ” stated Keith Patton, Product Manager at Axiom. “The HET flash enables the Axiom T500 to achieve ten full-drive writes per day over the five-year life of the drive. Also, the drive’s lower sequential write latency ensures quick and consistent application response times."
The product comes in a 2.5-inch hot-swap form factor designed for designated Dell, HP, IBM, and Lenovo servers, data storage arrays, and networked storage applications. With 28 different individual products currently shipping, the Axiom T500 provides a seamless drop-in storage upgrade that improves storage performance for HPC, data center, big data, and cloud applications while protecting the IT investment.
