Axiom DDR4 Modules Address the Growing Performance Demands from Next-Generation Servers and High-End Desktops
Irvine, CA – November 5, 2014. Axiom, a leading provider of memory, storage, networking connectivity solutions, laptop batteries, and mobility lifestyle accessories announced the release of DDR4 modules to address recent system launches utilizing the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 processors.
The Axiom portfolio of DDR4 modules include Registered ECC, Load Reduced (LRDIMM), and Unbuffered DIMMs. Future releases will expand with VLP DIMM, SODIMM, and UDIMM form factors that include increased densities and higher projected component speeds from 2400 Mbps, 2666 Mbps, and beyond.
“The design and release of DDR4 memory has been a long continuous development process, and represents our continued devotion to new and more powerful memory technology,” said Keith Patton, Product Manager, Axiom. “Each DDR4 module is designed and manufactured within all applicable test and specification parameters to ensure complete and guaranteed system compatibility.”
“The release of these server and high-end desktop modules represent the initial phase of Axiom’s growing portfolio of DDR4 memory solutions,” stated Eric Devaney, Vice President of Sales, Axiom. “In the near future we look to expand beyond introductory form-factors and speeds to meet the growing demand for higher performance, more reliable and lower power consuming memory.”
Axiom DDR4 modules use 20nm-class process technology and current release speeds up to 2133 Mbps. DDR4 modules represent significant performance, density, and power management benefits over DDR3 technology.
